Established in 2021, Sweet-Haus (House) was born out of a recognition of a gap in the tiny home/affordable housing industry. The founders were determined to contribute to the burgeoning movement towards sustainable and minimalist living. Identifying deficiencies in quality, innovation, production, and overall customer experience, they saw an opportunity to revolutionize the industry.
Initial market research and firsthand experiences unveiled prevalent issues such as poor quality, subpar customer service, and outdated construction practices. To address these concerns, Sweet-Haus strategically assembled a team of experts boasting over 25 years of manufacturing experience. Their collective commitment was clear: consistently deliver excellence, prioritize ethical practices, and offer customers an unparalleled experience. They pledged unwavering support for their product, irrespective of warranty constraints, and vowed to contribute to the community as servant leaders.
Taking a forward-thinking approach, Sweet-Haus streamlined processes to construct the highest quality cabins in the market. The success of this approach is evident in Sweet-Haus cabins, typically under 400 square feet, designed to be easily transported and set up on trailers or mobile platforms. True to their commitment, Sweet-Haus is already expanding its offerings with "The Homestead Series," a line of small innovative homes approximately 600 square feet in size, built on a similar mobile platform.
Looking ahead, Sweet-Haus has exciting developments in the pipeline. We recently launched our two new prototypes: the "Scand-Cabin" and the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired "Mesa," both of which are now available for orders. Additionally, we are in the final stages of developing our two new tiny home communities in Lake Lure and Old Fort. We are also exploring land in Burnsville, Franklin, and other areas in Western NC.
Lastly, our HUD product line has expanded into two offerings: the Acadia and the Inspiration series. These new options allow for larger units, an easier permitting process, and financing for up to 30 years. Stay tuned for more updates!
Our Mission Statement
These are just a few things included in our construction process to enable a longer lasting, appreciable, luxury park model:
Todd is a seasoned sales and design professional with over 700 cabins sold. Throughout his career, Todd has developed a reputation for exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional design solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. His approach to sales and design is rooted in his commitment to understanding his clients' needs and delivering customized solutions that drive results. His ability to think outside the box and tackle complex challenges has earned him a loyal client base.
A South Carolina native, Todd grew up in the small town of Duncan, SC. He has resided at Lake Bowen for the past 27 years with his wife, Nikki, and son, Greyson. Todd attended USCS as an art student and has always had a strong interest in design and architecture.
“It’s really come full circle with Sweet-Haus. I had already designed close to 600 custom small spaces, so I poured all of that experience into one great platform, the Inspiration Series. What’s exciting is that the plan works on all levels—a fully functional tiny house to live in, a VRBO, a mother-in-law suite, or a second home. The feedback from customers has been off the charts! But what it really boils down to is the quality of our product and the customer experience.
In this industry, we found that there are a lot of shortcuts, poor quality, and terrible customer service. We genuinely appreciate our customers and enjoy working with them. We have more than one person who can help with sales at any given moment, so if the salesperson is out, anyone can assist. We don’t do punch lists; our punch lists are completed internally before the customers see the cabin. It’s also crucial to listen to our customers and continually improve the customer experience with forward-thinking ideas.”
Todd also has a Real Estate Broker’s license in SC and NC and has experience in land development. Sweet-Haus is already designing new prototypes, including a luxury HUD home, and is the only RVIA-certified tiny home builder in South Carolina. Sweet-Haus has its first of two tiny home communities in the works and is eager to find more land.
"Our philosophy is simple and it's rooted in our culture... 'Always do the right thing.'
