Founded in 2021, Sweet-Haus (House) emerged in response to a clear gap in the tiny home and affordable housing market.
Recognizing the growing demand for sustainable and minimalist living, the founders set out to revolutionize the industry. They identified widespread deficiencies in quality, innovation, production standards, and customer service—and saw an opportunity to do better.
Early market research and firsthand experience revealed persistent challenges: inconsistent craftsmanship, outdated building practices, and poor customer care. In response, Sweet-Haus assembled a team of industry experts with over 25 years of manufacturing experience. United by a shared vision, the team committed to delivering superior quality, operating with integrity, and creating an unmatched customer experience. They also made a unique promise: to stand behind their product well beyond warranty terms, and to lead with humility and service in the communities they touch.
With a forward-thinking mindset, Sweet-Haus streamlined its production process to build some of the highest-quality cabins on the market. Typically under 400 square feet, these homes are expertly crafted to be easily transported and set up on trailers or mobile platforms. True to its mission of continuous innovation, the company is now expanding with The Acadia Series—a new line of small, mobile homes approximately 700 square feet in size, designed for those seeking a bit more space without compromising flexibility or design.
Looking ahead, Sweet-Haus is proud to introduce three new models: the Scand-Cabin, a sleek, Nordic-inspired design, The Mesa and the Nordic-Nook, a bold new offering influenced by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. All three models are now available for order.
In addition to expanding its product lineup, Sweet-Haus is also breaking new ground—literally. Two new tiny home communities are in development in Lake Lure and Old Fort, with future sites being explored in Burnsville, Franklin, and across Western North Carolina.
Finally, the HUD-certified product line has grown to include two versatile options: the Acadia and Inspiration series. These homes offer increased living space, simplified permitting, and financing options of up to 30 years—making homeownership more accessible than ever.
Stay tuned—there’s much more to come.
Our Mission Statement
These are just a few things included in our construction process to enable a longer lasting, appreciable, luxury park model:
Todd is a seasoned sales and design professional with over 700 cabins sold. Throughout his career, Todd has developed a reputation for exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional design solutions that meet and exceed client expectations. His approach to sales and design is rooted in his commitment to understanding his clients' needs and delivering customized solutions that drive results. His ability to think outside the box and tackle complex challenges has earned him a loyal client base.
A South Carolina native, Todd grew up in the small town of Duncan, SC. He has resided at Lake Bowen for the past 27 years with his wife, Nikki, and son, Greyson. Todd attended USCS as an art student and has always had a strong interest in design and architecture.
“It’s really come full circle with Sweet-Haus. I had already designed close to 600 custom small spaces, so I poured all of that experience into one great platform, the Inspiration Series. What’s exciting is that the plan works on all levels—a fully functional tiny house to live in, a VRBO, a mother-in-law suite, or a second home. The feedback from customers has been off the charts! But what it really boils down to is the quality of our product and the customer experience.
In this industry, we found that there are a lot of shortcuts, poor quality, and terrible customer service. We genuinely appreciate our customers and enjoy working with them. We have more than one person who can help with sales at any given moment, so if the salesperson is out, anyone can assist. We don’t do punch lists; our punch lists are completed internally before the customers see the cabin. It’s also crucial to listen to our customers and continually improve the customer experience with forward-thinking ideas.”
Todd also has a Real Estate Broker’s license in SC and NC and has experience in land development. Sweet-Haus is already designing new prototypes, including a luxury HUD home, and is the only RVIA-certified tiny home builder in South Carolina. Sweet-Haus has its first of two tiny home communities in the works and is eager to find more land.
"Our philosophy is simple and it's rooted in our culture... 'Always do the right thing.'
